PARTNERSHIP FOR PROGRESS

Decatur Downtown Redevelopment Authority is asking area businesses and industry to imagine the possibilities of a revitalized downtown and inviting them to become a partner to turn those possibilities into reality. The Partnership for Progress Initiative will bring to life some of the proposed redevelopment plans that were first introduced in the Envision Decatur Plan.

As business and industry in the Decatur / Morgan County community grow together, there is a resurgence in local opportunities. Residents no longer have to leave our community for employment. The standard of living rises which in turn attracts more businesses to our area. The cycle continues as Decatur and Morgan County grows and prospers. The growth of business and industry will also bring about a new sense of community, vital to a thriving, growing city and county.

The development of downtown Decatur will help attract and support local businesses in Decatur and by extension Morgan County. The Partnership for Progress will provide much needed support for signature projects from the Downtown Redevelopment Authority's Strategic Plan. As an aggressive and proactive public-private partnership, the Partnership for Progress will be able to impact the community far greater than what can be accomplished through individual efforts.
