Downtown Decatur is experiencing a renaissance with construction of a new art college underway and streetscape construction on 2nd Avenue that will create a beautiful, visitor-friendly experience.
Unfortunately, construction will be happening during the busy holiday season - the make or break time for many of our merchants. To counteract the construction zone, we have created "Digtown,"a temporary township created on 2nd Avenue during construction between October '11 and Spring '12.
Digtown is the place to shop, eat – and best of all – win cash!
Get involved: participate in the campaign to elect monthly Digtown mayors, find the life-size mayor cutout and post photos, and support local businesses. Not only does it benefit the community, but you could win money just for doing what you do!
