Gateway Pedestrian Bridge

DDRA is working to establish a pedestrian bridge linking Founders Park, Banks Street, and downtown to Rhodes Ferry and the riverfront. The bridge is expected to create a safer way for pedestrians to travel to and from the riverfront and downtown areas.

Timeline:

• 2010: Discussions have been held with ALDOT and preliminary design concepts have been completed.
• 2010: Local industry partnerships and grants are being pursued to help with the cost and construction materials needed to complete the bridge.
