Pocket Parks

These small greenspaces are being developed throughout the city as part of the Beautification portion of the 2010-2014 Strategic Plan. A 2nd Avenue pocket park was created before the strategic plan was developed.

Timeline:

• Summer 2011: Lee Street Park has had sidewalk work done and is presently being graded for seeding and sodding of grass. Also, several trees are being planted between the sidewalk and curb along with some plant beds. This work will dress the area up until a formal park plan can be designed and developed.
• Summer 2011: Pass-through Park on 2nd is going out for bids.
